Day Five ~ Another 5K and More Crawling

Another very early morning, boy these are hard when you stay up way too late enjoying yourself. But we had a great turnout for day two of our 5K’s. This photo is even better as it has the ship on the Funnelvision!!! We had a great turn out both days and I believe everyone that participated had a great time. I heard from so many who really loved the medals. I had some who hadn’t exercised in a long time and this 5K got them out walking and they continued to do that during the entire two week trip. This is one reason I do these, I love to encourage people to get out and get some sort of exercise in.

After the 5K, it was actually off to the gym to get my scheduled workout in, I had a routine I was in and kept at it the entire trip. After my workout, I met Dale at the Cove for coffee and then off to Cabanas for a light breakfast (one of my favorite things on board is getting an omelette made to order with exactly what I want in it) and we went about doing some ‘duck trading’.

People used to hide ducks around the ship and the finders would take joy in them. Some would re-hide them, some would keep them. Either option is correct. Dale has a Jeep, so he’s got quite the collection of ducks. We brought a bunch of ducks on board to ‘trade’ and we got a duck mailbox.

We also participated in a couple exchanges, a recipe exchange (Dale) and a Christmas ornament exchange (me). The ornament exchange is small, only five other people to gift and you get five new ornaments for your tree. The recipe one was much larger since it was just a matter of printing off a favorite recipe to share. We selected Dale’s amazing Caramel Apple Cake.

We spent some time walking the ship, delivering Pixie Dust (small gifts) to other cruisers and delivered some of our exchange items. We also did some duck trading while walking the decks. We saw some great doors. People have such imagination when decorating their stateroom door. We just put magnets on, showing our past cruises and a little about us.

Today, was part two of the Cabin Crawl, which meant we would show our cabin to other cruisers. I had brought an Easter basket along and had some Easter candy for anyone who wanted some.  We only had to hang out for about an hour while others came to visit and it’s just really nice to get a chance to chat with some other cruises you may not have ‘met’ during the trip. We really loved our oceanview so much that we booked this category for our next two cruises.

This afternoon, we also had part two of the Pub Crawl. We were meeting in O’Gills, the pub, this afternoon. There we chatted for a while with some others and enjoyed an afternoon drink. Soon it was time to get ready for dinner.

We once again, started with pre-dinner drinks in the Soul Cat lounge. This is pretty much our nightly routine at this point, haha. Dinner tonight was at Rapunzel’s, then a few photos and then Key’s for some piano music and more cocktails. We did get a great group photo at dinner, which was nice.
