Cozumel ~ Day Three

Best Day Ever (well, it was one of the best)!!!  Today, we docked in Cozumel. We did visit this port in 2022, but if you recall, I had a broken foot in a boot, so we were limited on what excursions we could do. We had a great time that visit, but this time, I wanted to ‘swim’ with dolphins. The fun thing about this cruise, is we were doing it with friends and when I found out they also were going, it made this so much more fun. Dale was an observer for this excursion so he sat above the pool areas and watched us and took some great photos, but of course the best photos were the ones the professional photographer took that you had to purchase. Look at my smile, it was so worth it!!! But when you go with friends, it was nice that we shared the photo package so it was a little cheaper. I had done my research and already knew approximately how much this was and had budgeted for it. We went to Dophinaris in Cozumel. We had the best guide there and Disney had an amazing set up with this establishment. After our amazing encounter with the dolphins, we had lunch and drinks that were included. When we were heading to the restaurant area, we were told that a special area was reserved for just the Disney Cruise guests!!! This was an elevated area that overlooked the water and was covered from the hot sun.

After some relaxing time with lunch, it was soon time to head back to the ship. We made the compulsory stop for ‘tourist’ photos. We have to have ‘proof’ we were actually there, right?

After we got back on board it was just some down time until it was time to get ready for dinner. We began to meet each night before dinner in Soul Cat lounge to meet up with our friends for a drink before we went to dinner. Dinner tonight was in Lumiere’s, which is considered the ‘fancy’ restaurant, but as the others, our dining experience each night (and menu) was different. We didn’t dress up this evening for dinner, and I even let Dale wear shorts to dinner (let, haha… but he does amuse me and wears what I ask for dinner each night). Some of our photos from this evening were the ‘lifestyle’ ones which are the plain white background. We have gotten some amazing photos with this in the past. And the special background tonight was from Fantastic Four (a Marvel movie that was released the previous year and I believe was showing on the ship, as it seemed often the special background had to do with a specific movie). When you have some of these backgrounds, the photographer asks you to pose a specific way but you aren’t sure what is going to be added to the photo until you see the finished shot in the app.

After our stop for photos it was off to O’Gills (the ‘pub’) and Keys before we ending at the evening showing with a Mentalist who our friends see often in Disney Springs. This was a late night for me since I had the first of two 5K’s the next morning and needed to be up by 6am.
